Adelie Penguin vs Gentoo Penguin

Their habitats diverge significantly. Adelie Penguins are adapted to antarctic coastline and rocky shores, while Gentoo Penguins occupy sub-antarctic islands and antarctic peninsula. This habitat split reflects different evolutionary responses to predation pressure, breeding requirements, and food access.

Geographically, these species rarely overlap. Adelie Penguins are found in Antarctica, South Shetland Islands, South Orkney Islands, whereas Gentoo Penguins live in Falkland Islands, South Georgia, Kerguelen Islands, Antarctic Peninsula.
